Egyptian Food Bank Unites Prominent Figures and Community Leaders with Beneficiaries Families for a Shared Iftar Experience

In a humanitarian gesture, the Egyptian Food Bank ensured the presence of several celebrities to share an Iftar meal with some of the most in-need families at the charity Iftar table hosted by EFB at its main headquarters in the Third Settlement. As part of Ramadan activities organized by the Egyptian Food Bank, the event was attended by Niazi Salam, Chairman of the Egyptian Food Bank, and Mohsen Sarhan, CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank. Various celebrities joined them in addition to public figures, including Dr. Osama El-Azhary, the president’s adviser on religious affairs, preacher Mustafa Atef, media personality Doaa Farouk, and Hana Shiha. Also in attendance were Yosra El Lozy, Ahmed Hatem, Sara Abdel Rahman, and Randa Elbehairy.

This initiative is part of the Egyptian Food Bank’s unwavering efforts to provide necessary food for the most disadvantaged groups and to share in their celebrations during the holy month, by gathering them with celebrities and public figures for an Iftar event under the ‘Iftar Saeem’ program. The program involves the distribution of 1.5 million hot meals on the Iftar charity tables or through distribution centers across all governorates, in addition to one million food boxes sufficient for the Iftar of five million people. This initiative highlights the Egyptian Food Bank’s position as the foremost and largest specialized institution in food provision, boasting a 20-year history.

The day witnessed various activities and entertainment segments, with the event’s stars singing and spending enjoyable time with the most in-need families in the Egyptian Food Bank’s tent, which accommodates 500 beneficiaries daily for Iftar throughout the month of Ramadan.
