Grand Musical Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Umm Kulthum’s First Appearance

Under the auspices of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, Egypt celebrates the centennial anniversary of the first stage performance of the legendary Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum with a grand musical event in February 2024. This significant concert, marking 100 years of the voice of “Kawkab Al Sharq” (Star of the Orient), will be the first of its kind in the Arab world and will be attended by many Arab stars from across the region.
Organized by RMC, the mastermind behind “100 Years of Umm Kulthum,” the concert is considered a part of the company’s unwavering efforts to revive the artistic and musical heritage of the Egyptian Renaissance years and preserve the cultural legacy left by the great artists in Egypt and the Arab world.
The musical event will feature an exceptional lineup of Umm Kulthum’s timeless classics that are still cherished by her fans and continue to resonate and captivate the audiences to this day, including classics like “Enta Omri,” “Seret El Hob,” “Amal Hayati,” “Lessa Faker,” “Hathehi Laylati,” “Hayart Qalbi Maak,” “Faat El Maad,” “Lil Sabr Hudud,” “Ya Msaharni,” and more of her memorable songs that still dominate the music scene in Egypt and the Arab world.
