The partnership was signed by Mai Salama, co-founder of Creative Summit, and Tarek Kamel, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Nestlé Egypt and Sudan. The aim of this collaboration is to enhance sustainability practices by reducing the consumption of single-use plastic products and recycling them during the festival’s activities, leveraging Nestlé’s expertise in this area. Nestlé has a strong track record in sustainability solutions and addressing environmental challenges. As part of this effort, a recycling machine will be provided to recycle water bottles, and all participating parties will commit to using environmentally friendly materials, positioning the Creative Summit as a pioneer in supporting sustainable development and aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Additionally, the Creative Summit Festival will include the presence of “Banlastic Egypt,” an organization specializing in tackling plastic pollution, will assess performance related to sustainability practices during the events, along with the Go Clean initiative for waste recycling. The Egyptian Clothing Bank will also participate by recycling the advertising materials used during the festival, transforming them into school bags to foster creative ideas and raise environmental awareness among participants.

Mai Salama, co-founder of Creative Summit, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to collaborate with Nestlé as a partner in promoting sustainability practices at all Creative Summit activities, given their extensive global experience in this field. We are dedicated to establishing strategic partnerships that contribute to realizing our vision of stimulating and supporting the creative industry. With the festival’s growth and reach, we were committed to introducing a new dimension this year by raising awareness among participants about the significance of the environmental challenges we face and actively contributing to society’s efforts in addressing these challenges”.

Tarek Kamel, Chairman and CEO of Nestlé Egypt and Sudan, stated, “We are pleased to participate in the Creative Summit Festival as a key partner for sustainability. This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to environmental sustainability and our strategic objective of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. We firmly believe in our collective ability to drive positive change, foster innovation, and lead the way towards a sustainable future.”
Kamel added, “Nestlé Egypt is actively engaged in various initiatives aimed at enhancing environmental conservation, including projects focused on waste management and recycling. Additionally, we are working towards transitioning to 100% sustainable energy from renewable sources in all our factories by 2025. All of these efforts, along with other initiatives, underscore Nestlé’s dedication to supporting sustainability practices in everything we undertake, making us an ideal partner for the forum”.
As a significant partner in sustainability, Nestlé Egypt, in collaboration with Creative Summit Festival, will address environmental challenges and showcase successful practices, drawing upon its extensive experience in the field of sustainability and its widespread global presence.

It’s worth noting that the Creative Summit platform was launched in 2014, and for over 9 years, it has played a significant and impactful role in nurturing creative thinking in Egypt and the Middle East. It has accomplished this by serving as a platform that gathers some of the foremost experts and speakers in the field, offering training and content that shapes the future of the creative economy. This platform has been instrumental in facilitating collaboration among various groups, including students and corporate executives from major companies. It serves as a forum for sharing experiences, inspiring stories, and creative ideas that have materialized into real-life projects, helping participants derive value for their businesses and promoting creative thinking. The ultimate goal is to establish a platform that combines communication, entertainment, and education.
