Misr Italia Properties (MIP) has announced the second edition of the IL Bosco International Padel Tournament in partnership with JPadel Egypt, scheduled to take place from May 17th to May 20th at IL Bosco Javelin Sports Club in the New Administrative Capital (NAC). The tournament will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as well as the Administrative Capital for Urban Development, and in collaboration with the Egyptian Padel Federation and the International Padel Federation. Featuring 400 players from 10 countries, including the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France, Spain, Morocco, UAE, Qatar, and Egypt, the competition this year will see players with a wide range of age groups and skill levels, competing over the course of 4 days in 200 matches.
By continuing to host the tournament, MIP does not only work to become a channel that fosters sports in Egypt, and padel in particular, given young Egyptians’ growing interest in the sport, but also showcase what the NAC has to offer by providing the first livable project by a private-sector developer at the Capital. Covering an area of 16,000 m2, IL Bosco Javelin Sports Club is situated within the heart of IL Bosco, MIP’s flagship residential project in the NAC, with a total investment of EGP 17 billion; featuring units designed to blend with nature and overlooking the iconic Green River as well as the world’s largest central park.
This year’s edition will include university students for the first time, with participants from Canadian universities, Ryerson University, and British Coventry Universities in the New Administrative Capital, the American University in Cairo, and the German University in Cairo. Prizes for the international championship are worth €20,000, while winners of the local championship will be receiving prizes worth EGP 200,000, and the universities tournament prize will be worth EGP 50,000.
