The “Made in Damietta” initiative has garnered massive interest from showrooms and furniture makers alike, particularly in light of Homzmart’s capacity to promote and market their products through online and offline platforms alike. Homzmart’s seamless customer experience takes a traditionally offline market to the digital sphere, bringing an affordable online furnishing experience to consumers’ doors – removing the inconvenience of travelling to Damietta. The campaign also provides generous discounts worth 40% on the latest quality wood furniture and homegoods products.

Homzmart’s Co-Founder and CEO Mahmoud Ibrahim said, “Homzmart has launched the ‘Made in Damietta’ campaign in a firm belief on the top-notch quality of homegoods and furniture products manufactured in Damietta. The city is renowned as the furniture capital of Egypt and the Middle East, bringing together ample major furniture makers. ‘Made in Damietta’ aims to promote Damietta’s furniture industry and provides high discounts of up to 40%, encouraging consumers to purchase furniture living up to global standards.”

Homzmart’s launch of this campaign aligns with the government strategy to promote Egypt’s furniture industry. The state-inaugurated Damietta Furniture City encompasses over 1,300 factories on a land area of 331 feddans, making it the largest project of its kind in the region.

From his part, Homzmart’s MD Mohamed Shalaby said, “The ‘Made in Damietta’ campaign is a first-of-its-kind initiative for furniture production in the city. Furniture producers have been strongly interested in participating in the campaign, which we expect to yield millions of pounds in sales volumes. Given the success an interest in the campaign, Homzmart is slated to launch similar forthcoming initiatives bringing in a greater number of exhibitors at heavy discounts – benefitting consumers and producers alike.”
