ElSewedy Education of Technology and Amity University, Dubai to Establish the First Private Technological University in Egypt
ElSewedy and Amity University vest Egypt to play a key role in the international technological revolution.
ElSewedy Education of Technology, signed a collaborative agreement with Amity University, Dubai (AUD), one of the best private universities in the world and a pioneering multi-disciplinary university in India, to establish ElSewedy University of Technology (SUT). This is the first international academic collaboration between Egypt and India and is considered the opening gate for further collaborations to take place in Egypt and the region. Through the strategic collaboration with AUD, ElSewedy will create state-of-the-art programs and learning experiences that would develop new cadres of technology experts from the Egyptian youth; enabling Egypt to play a vital role in the global technological revolution, and to lead a new era of technical excellence and innovation.
As part of its endeavors to provide the Egyptian industries with highly qualified, trained, and skilled calibers in technology, the company is cooperating with Amity University through its international branch in the United Arab Emirates. The agreement is the starting point for the establishment of SUT, which is set to begin the first admission round in 2023-2024 school year.
To achieve ElSewedy’s goal to equip SUT graduates with quality education and exceptional competencies that serve the market needs for the present and the future, AUD shall support in creating the SUT academic model, setting the quality assurance standards and systems, and building the capacity of SUT academic staff. AUD will also issue certificates of recognition for graduating students who successfully complete all the academic and training requirements.
The first SUT campus will be established in the 10th of Ramadan city, Sharqia governorate and will accommodate 12,000 – 14,000 students in more than 15 fields of specializations. The SUT’s model is designed under the Egyptian laws for establishing private and technological universities and will offer certified undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in technology.
The agreement signed between ElSewedy and AUD was in presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Deputy Minister of Higher Education; Dr. Mohamed Megahed, Deputy Minister of Education & Technical Education; His Excellency shi Ajit Gupte, Indian Ambassador to Egypt; Eng. Ahmed El Sewedy Chairman of ElSewedy Education of Technology; Mrs. Hanan ElRihany, the CEO of ElSewedy Education of Technology; Dr. Saif Al Seiari, President of AUD; and Dr. Vajahat Hussain, CEO of Amity Education Middle East and Europe.
