Americana Restaurants Egypt Celebrates Graduates from Dual Education Program at Capital University (Helwan Branch)

Americana Restaurants Egypt, in collaboration with Capital University (Helwan Branch), celebrated the graduation of a new batch of students from its Dual Education Program, which combines academic studies with practical training within Americana Restaurants Egypt branches. The program aims to equip young people with the skills needed to enter the workforce efficiently. This event reflects the company’s commitment to supporting youth, empowering them economically and professionally, and opening wide horizons for their future in Egypt and beyond.
The ceremony was attended by senior executives and academic leaders, including Hesham Talaat – General Manager of Americana Restaurants Egypt and Iraq and Regional GM of Hardee’s Middle East, Ayman El-Araby – Director of Human Resources at Americana Restaurants – Egypt, Maria Escobar – Head of Human Capital at Americana Restaurants – MENA region and Kazakhstan, Dr. El-Sayed Kandil – President of Capital University, and Dr. Soha Abdel Wahab – Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.
Americana Restaurants Egypt’s Dual Education Program, implemented under the umbrella of “Education for All = Food for All,” is an innovative model that integrates academic learning with hands-on practical experience. It enables students to acquire real professional skills aligned with the hospitality industry’s workforce needs and helps them build a career grounded in practical experience. More than 1,700 students from Capital University (Helwan Branch) have successfully completed both academic and practical training, contributing to the preparation of qualified professionals capable of confidently entering the labor market.
Collaboration with the Faculties of Tourism and Hotels at Alexandria and Fayoum Universities has further supported students in completing their academic studies while preparing for the workforce through direct employment opportunities that link education with real institutional needs. This reflects a comprehensive model connecting education and practical training, preparing students for a successful professional future.
Hesham Talaat, General Manager of Americana Restaurants Egypt and Iraq and Regional GM of Hardee’s Middle East, stated: “The Dual Education Program represents a strategic model for developing technical education and linking it to the labor market. We believe that investing in youth is investing in Egypt’s future, and providing students with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience creates professionals capable of competing locally and regionally, while strengthening the hospitality sector as a driver of economic growth.”
Ayman El-Araby, Director of Human Resources at Americana Restaurants Egypt, added: “We are proud to graduate this batch that has successfully completed the Dual Education Program, which provided students with a comprehensive learning experience combining academic studies with intensive practical training. This program reflects our commitment to preparing youth for the labor market, equipping them with the skills and expertise to become qualified leaders in the hospitality sector, both in Egypt and internationally. This celebration is part of Americana Restaurants Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support education and practical training, empower youth, and prepare them according to the highest professional standards, contributing to Egypt Vision 2030 for human development and socio-economic growth. Initiatives include enabling students from Technical Education Schools to earn the globally recognized British City & Guilds certification in the hospitality sector, achieving the highest success rates since the program’s launch in 2021. This achievement demonstrates the company’s commitment to transforming technical education into a strategic career path, empowering youth to compete locally and globally, and contributing to the growth of the local economy.
