Deli Group Lays the Foundation Stone for Its New Factory in 10th of Ramadan City to Strengthen Local Manufacturing and Egyptian Exports
Deli Group, one of the world’s largest leading companies in office supplies, stationery, and workplace solutions, announced the laying of the foundation stone for its new factory in 10th of Ramadan City, during a high-level official ceremony attended by government officials, strategic partners, and international clients from Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, in addition to media representatives. This event embodies a major strategic expansion for the Group in Egypt and the region, and reflects its growing confidence in the country’s investment and industrial environment.
Deli Group holds a prominent global position, with annual international sales exceeding six billion dollars. The Group operates in more than one hundred countries and manages an integrated ecosystem that includes product design, research and development, large-scale manufacturing, and international distribution. The new investment in Egypt comes as part of its long-term plan to expand its manufacturing bases around the world and strengthen its presence in regional markets, in line with Egypt’s national direction towards localizing industry, increasing exports, and developing domestic production capacities.
The new project is being built on land spanning 160,000 square meters, forming a major industrial base that is expected to position Egypt as a key hub for the manufacturing and export of Deli products to Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. The company has already begun local production through an existing 20,000-square-meter facility that manufactures more than 180 products for the Egyptian market. Estimates indicate that the new factory will, upon reaching full operation, achieve annual sales of approximately 200 million dollars, supporting regional distribution capabilities while strengthening supply chains and employment rates.
During the ceremony, the foundation-stone-laying proceedings took place within the factory site, where attendees moved to the inauguration area to witness the official announcement of the commencement of construction and to take commemorative photos, before continuing the event’s activities, which included dedicated presentations on Egypt’s manufacturing strategy, product development plans, and the role of the new factory in supporting surrounding markets. Among the attendees were several prominent figures from industrial and investment authorities, including:
Ms. Nahed El-Sherif, Chairwoman of the Industrial Development Authority;
