Rich Bake, leading company in the bakery industry in Egypt, announced its participation in Gulfood 2026, set to take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 26th to 30th of January 2026. The participation comes as part of the company’s expansion strategy aimed at strengthening its presence in regional and global markets and increasing exports of Egyptian food products.
Gilbert Hobeika, Chief Executive Officer of Rich Bake, stated that the company’s participation in Gulfood represents a key milestone within its long-term international expansion plan. He noted that Rich Bake has been a regular exhibitor at Gulfood, reflecting its commitment to maintaining a strong annual presence alongside major global and Egyptian players in the food industry.
He explained that Rich Bake’s pavilion at Gulfood 2026 will feature a broader range of products and innovations this year, with a particular focus on expanding exports of traditional Egyptian baladi bread to additional markets beyond its current destinations, which include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.
Hobeika added that Rich Bake’s strategy is built on continuous expansion and increasing export volumes to a wider range of countries. He emphasized that participation in Gulfood provides valuable opportunities to invest in product presentation and diversification, while enhancing prospects for new contracts, especially amid growing global demand for Egyptian food products.
He further noted that the company will showcase a wide portfolio of products at the exhibition, led by various types and formats of baladi bread, alongside a diverse selection of croissants and cakes; highlighting that 2026 will witness the launch of a significant number of new products, building on the company’s success in 2025, during which more than 25 new bakery innovations were introduced.
For his part, Hisham Hamed, Group Marketing Director at Rich Bake, said that the participation of Egyptian companies in Gulfood has witnessed remarkable development in recent years, both in terms of the number of participating companies and the level of investment in product presentation and diversity. He noted that sectors such as dairy, frozen foods, and agricultural produce have demonstrated the growing competitiveness of Egypt’s food industry on a global scale.
Hamed added that through its participation in Gulfood 2026, Rich Bake aims to expand further into Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets, and Africa, leveraging the strong reputation of Rich Bake products for quality and compliance with international standards.
He concluded by emphasizing that international exhibitions, led by Gulfood, represent a central pillar in supporting the company’s long-term strategy by opening direct communication channels with partners and clients and facilitating agreements that drive growth and expansion. He also pointed out that outlooks for Egypt’s bakery market in 2026 remain positive, supported by government backing, increased investment, and export expansion, creating opportunities for new innovations that add value to the Egyptian economy.
