The Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC) officially began on 7th July in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. Returning for its second edition, this year, EWC is working with Saudi, Welcome to Arabia, as the official destination partner. Running until August 24, 2025, EWC will feature the world’s top esports players, clubs, and fans to enjoy gaming, culture, and entertainment – both within the venues and beyond. Visitors can enjoy Saudi’s famous hospitality and partake of its unique blend of heritage, hospitality, and world-class entertainment.
This year’s edition of the Esports World Cup features:
• A record-breaking $70+ million prize pool
• 25 tournaments across 24 global games
• 2,000 elite players and 200 clubs from over 100 countries
A vibrant entertainment program – including an opening ceremony headlined by Post Malone
Beyond the arena, fans will enjoy a rich mix of cultural programming, cosplay, anime cafés, retro arcades, and live music. Visitors are invited to explore Saudi’s dynamic cities, ancient heritage sites, and breathtaking natural wonders – from the hubbub of the capital and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif in Diriyah, the “City of Earth” on the outskirts of Riyadh, to the jaw-dropping moonscape of AlUla, to the tranquil beauty of the Saudi Red Sea.
